Bio
Bora Baboçi (b. 1988, Tirana) is an artist working across drawing, video, performance, sound, installation and photography. Trained in architecture (University of Toronto; Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), her practice carries the discipline of spatial thinking into images and actions—treating the domestic, the sacred, and the built environment as systems of memory, ritual, and return.
Statement
Her work often begins with a site—an apartment, a shoreline, an improvised structure—and then tests how a place produces behavior. She is drawn to thresholds: frames within frames, openings that refuse closure, and the fragile traces left by movement through space. Landscape and construction, embodied memory, and the politics of belonging recur as quiet engines beneath the work.
